Every tank does some good

We are committed to making a positive and lasting contribution to people’s lives by investing in our local communities. We believe that effective education including science, technology, and maths will help foster bright young talent in our Irish communities, giving our children the opportunity for a brighter economic future.

    About Us

We know that education is very important to Irish families and to local communities. So we feel passionately about making a meaningful contribution in that area.

    Total contributions to date:

Inver’s think tank currently sponsors three educational initiatives to inspire our children to be excited about maths, science and technology and the opportunities that will be available to them with that knowledge. These are TechSpace, LearnStorm and Creative Tech Fest. Our funding helps these organisations provide children with fun learning opportunities within our local schools and our communities.

LearnStorm Ireland is a free All-Ireland maths challenge that builds students’ confidence and competence.
It is a is free, fun and accessible from anywhere, but more importantly it is designed to reward the hard work and persistence of each student. Students are motivated and eager to complete even more maths exercises and have embraced technology to fully take control of their own learning.
LearnStorm Ireland has grown from 3,000 to 30,000 registered students in just three short years. This growth is a testament to the hundreds of schools and teachers across Ireland who have supported the challenge’s goal of increasing students’ competence and confidence in maths.
In 2016 Inver supported the Munster Final celebration event at which over 130 students took part in a day of fun maths-based activities, in the areas of robotics, music, and real world maths challenges.

    TechSpace

TechSpace is a national movement that aims to change the lives of young people in Ireland by becoming Ireland’s leading creative technology support network for outcome focused youth development. Members include Foróige,YMCA Ireland, NYCI and many other partners and supporters.

TechSpace builds the capacity of youth organisations to run creative technology and science, technology, engineering, art and maths (STEAM) education programmes. We train and support educators, volunteers and young people to build key 21st Century Skills.  At a ‘TechSpace’ young people are inspired to create and have fun with digital technology – becoming creators, inventors and makers with technology, rather than consumers of technology.

    Creative Tech Fest

This is an annual event for the new generation of creators, inventors and makers, aged 10+ years to exhibit an amazing array of creative technology projects they create throughout the year.

It is an annual celebration and exhibition of all the amazing content created by young people from across the country who participate in the TechSpace programme.
