AFSC celebrates its first anniversary

AFSC, a joint venture of Inver Energy, celebrated the first anniversary of it opening on October 4, 2011. In the first year of operation the new terminal firmly established its position as a major oil supply centre in Ireland.

Inver Energy is now supplying most major Irish oil marketers from the AFSC terminal, and we are hoping to sign up several more customers in the near future” said Chris O’Callaghan, Managing Director of AFSC and Inver Energy.

The terminal opened in advance of the coldest winter in Ireland in 100 years. The terminal received two 25,000 tonne cargoes of kerosene during the Winter, and helped maintain the supply of home heating fuel to the country at a time when many other Irish terminals did not have adequate supply.
