Clondrohid National School ASD unit recieve €1,000 Leading Lights donation
Inver Macroom Junction nominated Clondrohid National School ASD Unit for their €1,000 ?Leading Lights? donation! The ASD unit “Sonas” was set up in 2014 to meet the needs of children with Autism from Clondrohid and surrounding areas. The aim of Sonas is to integrate children with Autism into the mainstream school community. Sonas also offers dual attendance whereby children can access the Sonas classroom and Mainstream Schools.
Sonas also has the use of a Sensory Room, an equipped Gymnasium with O.T equipment, the Astro Turf, running track, the kitchen for baking, swimming lessons as well as fortnightly social outings.
