Inver Energy’s subsidiary, Atlantic Fuel Supply Company (AFSC), opened its new oil terminal in Foynes on October 4. The start-of-the-art oil terminal is the largest in Ireland has a capacity of 82,000 m3. It is capable of handling the full range of oil products and biofuels. The terminal can import product from two berths in Foynes Harbour, the only deepwater harbour on the West Coast of Ireland. “This terminal sets the standard for other terminals in Ireland. It is fully compliant with the latest requirements and will enhance security of oil supplies in Ireland for many years to come”, said Chris O’Callaghan, Managing Director of AFSC and Inver Energy.
