Deposit Return Scheme: three Inver sites with Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs)

In line with Ireland’s upcoming Deposit Return Scheme, effective February 1, 2024, customers purchasing beverages in PET plastic bottles, aluminium or steel that features the Re-turn logo, will pay a small deposit in addition to the price of the drink. This deposit is fully refundable upon returning the empty and undamaged container to any retail outlet.

Excitingly, three of Inver locations have implemented Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) to facilitate the Deposit Return Scheme:

Inver Slieverue Junction

Inver Charleville

Inver Limerick

How to return:

When you have finished your drink:

Return your empty, undamaged container to any retailers, regardless of where it was purchased

Return the empty container to a reverse vending machine (RVM) or manually over the counter

Get your deposit refund in full or use your deposit for further purchases

What to Return?

Not every drink container is eligible for Deposit Return. Only drinks in PET plastic bottles, aluminium & steel cans from 150ml to 3 litres are included in the Scheme.

All eligible drinks containers will display the Re-turn logo, making it easy to identify what is included in the Deposit Return Scheme. Drinks containers must be returned empty and undamaged.

Glass drinks containers and all dairy products (Eg. Milk, yogurt drinks)are NOT included in the Deposit Return Scheme. These containers will not have a Re-turn logo, but should still be recycled.
