Inver accelerates HVO offering at forecourt pumps

Inver Energy (‘Inver’) announces the expansion of its supply offer in Ireland with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), also known as renewable diesel, available at a further two forecourts in Co. Cork. As a national importer of fuel products and with over 100 retail forecourts, Inver has increasingly been extending its HVO offer to meet the changing needs of its customers.

HVO is a drop-in replacement for regular diesel and does not require engine modification. By eliminating up to 90% of carbon emissions, it is a readily available solution for businesses and motorists looking to lower their carbon emissions today. Each litre of biofuel supplied by Inver, including HVO, is ISCC-certified, providing complete transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain.

The two new locations, Inver Charleville and Inver Macroom, have been identified as key sites for expanding Inver’s offer to consumers. John O’Leary, Managing Director, explained, “Inver Macroom and Inver Charleville are already established one-stop shops with convenience products and services tailored to the needs of locals and motorists. Now, with HVO at the pumps, we can further support customers looking to reduce their carbon emissions, reflecting changing customer demands and supporting the energy transition.”

Making renewable fuels widely available to customers is part of Inver’s commitment to supporting Ireland’s energy transition. John said: “Since 2023, we have been successfully supplying HVO primarily to commercial and industrial customers’ fleets. We are now working on expanding that offer across our retail forecourt network.”

This expansion brings the number of sites with HVO across the Inver network to six, and also includes: Inver Fermoy in Co. Cork, Inver Castletroy in Co. Limerick, Inver Johnstown, and Inver Castlecomer in Co. Kilkenny, with further sites to follow. Commercial fleets and motorists can purchase HVO at the pump with their existing fuel cards, making the transition to HVO convenient and efficient.
