Foley’s Stores: Supporting local communities through Leading Lights

Foley’s Stores have been part of the Inver network since 2012, launching the very first Inver service station. For more than a decade, they have been a valued partner and continue to actively support their communities through our Leading Lights programme.

In 2025, Foley’s Inver service stations donated €1,000 each to local organisations in county Kerry:

We are proud to partner with Foley’s and recognise the positive impact they bring to their communities year after year.

Video transcript

The video opens with on screen text: “Inver’s Leading Lights and the Community in Kerry”.

Norman Foley, Managing Director of Foley’s Stores, says: “I was the first retailer to go with Inver on the retail side, so I’m with them since 2012 and right from the start we’ve been involved in the Leading Lights programme. It really complemented what we do on a local level and it’s also hugely beneficial that Inver are paying for it as well. So we get the benefits locally and the Inver brand obviously benefits, but it’s really win-win for us, so it’s great.” On screen, Norman stands in front of one of his Inver sites in Kerry. Aerial footage shows the service station, alongside a montage of photographs of cheque presentations with the Foley’s teams and the organisations they have supported.

Voiceover says: “Leading Lights is Inver’s community engagement programme that provides each of its forecourt partners with 1,000 euros annually to support a local cause. The initiative recognises organisations and volunteers making a positive impact in their communities.” Images on screen show photographs and video of organisations supported by the programme, including groups playing sports and activity linked to a healthcare organisation.

Voiceover says: “Foley’s share Inver’s deep commitment to giving back. Each year they actively engage with the Leading Lights programme and in 2025, they selected three exceptional organisations to receive this year’s donations.”

Text on screen states: “Kerry Stars Special Olympics Sports Club. Foley’s Inver Fossa.” Voiceover says: “Foley’s Inver Fossa has donated 1,000 euros to Kerry Stars Special Olympics Sports Club as part of the Leading Lights initiative. This incredible group creates opportunities for athletes with special needs to participate in sport and build lasting friendships.” Images on screen show groups of people, including club members with medals from their sports activities.

Voiceover says: “A special mention to Janet as one of their members who is also part of the Foley’s team, making this donation especially meaningful.” On screen, Janet is shown working at the coffee station at the Foley’s store.

Bridanne Carey, Operations Manager at Foley’s Store, says: “Yeah, so Janet’s here with us. I’d say for 7 to 8 years and she’s never missed a day. She books her holidays, all right, because she’s always gallivanting between the Kerry Stars and going on holidays. No matter where I go, people say to me, ‘I met Janet today in Fossa.’ And they have a better day for it, don’t they?” On screen, Bridanne and Janet sit in the store seating area with coffee cups, talking together.

Text on screen states: “Kerry Hospice Foundation. Foley’s Inver Tralee.” Voiceover says: “Foley’s Inver Tralee is proud to support the Kerry Hospice Foundation with a 1,000 euros donation through the Leading Lights programme.” Images show the hospital and a cheque presentation photograph with hospital representatives and the Foley’s team.

Bridanne says: “Unfortunately, everyone is touched by different cancers and illnesses. So the Kerry Hospice has grown and needs to grow, and we know they are looking to put in five more rooms. To get that phone call, that you’re getting this money from Leading Lights…” On screen, Bridanne stands in front of one of the Foley’s Inver sites in Kerry, with additional shots of the hospice and its facilities.

Text on screen states: “Killorglin Rowing Club. Foley’s Inver Killorglin.” Voiceover says: “This year, Foley’s Inver Killorglin has chosen Killorglin Rowing Club to receive their 1,000 euros Leading Lights donation. The club plays an important role in promoting health, teamwork and discipline among young people in the area.” Images show young people at the rowing club warming up, moving the boats and rowing on the river.

Michael Fleming, Chairman and Head Coach, says: “We’re really delighted with the help we get every year from Inver. We’re very much a teenage junior club, so it’s very important and it’s great to have that support from Inver and the local community in Killorglin to be able to achieve all these things.”

Norman Foley says: “People actually say to the staff how appreciative they are of what we do locally. As I said, we are very much part of the community and it’s great to be in a position to assist and do it.”

The video closes with text on screen stating: “Thanks to the support of our dealers across Ireland, Inver’s Leading Lights initiative has donated €69,500 to 84 local organisations in 2024.” The video ends on the Leading Lights, Inver Community logo.
